System Requirements

Since memozero performs all AI processing locally on your machine, hardware requirements are somewhat higher than cloud-based solutions. In return, your data never leaves your computer.

macOS

  • Recommended: Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, or newer)
  • Apple Silicon leverages the built-in Neural Engine and Metal acceleration for particularly fast and energy-efficient transcription.
  • Older Intel Macs are supported, but processing takes significantly longer.

Windows

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • Recommended: Dedicated NVIDIA graphics card (GTX 1060 or better)
  • With CUDA acceleration, AI computation is significantly faster.
  • Without a dedicated GPU, processing runs on the CPU — it works, but takes longer.

General

  • RAM: Minimum 8 GB, recommended 16 GB
  • Storage: Approximately 4 GB for the application and AI models
  • Internet connection: Required only for download and license activation. Transcription itself is fully offline.

Installation

  1. Download the installer for your operating system from our website.
  2. Run the installer and follow the instructions.
  3. On first launch, AI models are set up automatically.
  4. After setup, you can start transcribing immediately — even without an internet connection.
